Why WiFi3™?

Our investors, partners, followers and customers all ask a very simple questions – Why WiFi3™?
Simply put, there are there are two approaches to wireless, and it’s an analogy we’ve maintained since we were founded; single lane versus multi-lane. Innovative  companies like Qualcomm, Quantenna and others have taken the same single lane approach and hitting the same WiFi crushing congestion.
At Edgewater Wireless, we’re fundamentally revolutionizing WiFi with our Multi-channel (“multi-lane”) technology. We’re proving our patented, multi-channel  approach to WiFi can solve the immense challenges of high-density and high interference in WiFi networks where fewer radios and more channels is the only possible path to WiFi’s continued success.

What can you expect from Edgewater in the near future?

We’re advancing our work in the Cable industry — focused on opportunities to scale WiFi3™ adoption — and a short 18-months on from our first sales efforts in the space, we’re engaged with some of the largest players in the industry.  Density and interference issues are only getting worse, expanding from venues & public areas to enterprise (like Kroger) and even into the home.  We’ve done something quite extraordinary and it puts us at the forefront of the biggest challenge facing wireless — the applications for WiFi3™ continue to grow and it’s an exciting time for us.

Working with Kroger

Less than 6 months ago, we announced our partnership with Kroger. Since that time we have been working collaboratively to support their team and fulfill product requirements. We’re excited to support Kroger and to be a part of such a forward-thinking and leading organization.

Currently we are ramping production and shipping WiFi3 chipsets and radio cards in support of the customer’s requirements.

Undoubtedly, our relationship with Kroger has been tremendous and has raised the profile of the company, as well as, driving significant interest in our technology.

We haven’t stopped there.

We continue to build opportunities for OEM & Licensing. Since announcing Kroger we have experienced interest from a number of manufacturers and are working to identify the right partners to progress with to maximize our growth and revenue opportunities.

Edgewater’s OEM & Licensing business will be the growth engine for the company — placing WiFi3 chipsets and in a growing number of products globally. Most relevant will be the significant scale of opportunities in the cable industry.
