February 4, 2019 – Ottawa, Canada– Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. (YFI: TSX.V) (OTCQB: KPIFF),the industry leader in innovative WiFi Multi-Channel Single Radio (“MCSR”) technology for residential and commercial markets, report from Cantech 2019.

Edgewater Wireless was an exhibititor and presenter at the Cantech Investment Conference in Toronto last week. The annual event attracts the interest of investors, funds and media from both sides of the border to meet with Canadian innovation entrepreneurs. Since its inception in 2013, it has become a mainstay in Canadian technology finance.  Needless to say, we were very pleased to be among the companies participating.

While a rather intense snowstorm brought chaos to Toronto, I made a presentation about our vast market opportunity for residential WiFi and the Edgewater’s unique Multi Channel Single Radio (MCSR™) technology that provides high quality WiFi performance in an increasingly crowded environment of smart home products, automated gadgets and wireless devices. Click here for the presentation.

We were also successful at our exhibit stand, with back-to-back meetings with qualified tech investors and analysts who very much spoke our language and understood our value proposition.

As an aside, one of the more memorable exchanges was with a 12 year-old boy who was attending the show with his uncle. This is the exchange which took place at our booth:

  Boy: What do you do?
Us: We make WiFi better.

  Boy: How?

Us: Well, do you play Fortnite?

Boy (enthusiastically): Yeah! I love it!

Us: Do you ever get kicked off, or do you ever have a time lag?

Boy: Yeah, all the time – it STINKS! My WiFi connection is brutal.

  Us: Well, we fix that.

  Boy: Really? How?

Us: WiFi’s been around for a long time – since 1999 – and it hasn’t changed. It still travels on a single road, except the world has changed. WiFi is wildly successful and it’s everywhere now, not just (pointing to Uncle) you sitting in the basement connecting your laptop to the Internet. It’s applications, devices throughout your home…and we’re at the forefront of where the industry has to go, which is a multi-lane highway instead of a single road.

Boy (to Uncle): What are you doing?

  Uncle: Taking a picture.

  Boy: Why?

Uncle: So I can see these three letters…Y-F-I

We are looking forward to this month’s Mobile World Congress, the largest mobile industry event in the world, in Barcelona. This is the one event of the year where every major industry player, OEM prospect, and competitors will be congregating to discuss 5G and we will be there capitalizing on the industry momentum kicked off at the WBA event in the fall.  If you are attending and would like to connect, please contact me to schedule.

Thank you for your continued support of Edgewater Wireless.

Sincerely,

Andrew
