Multi-channel Access Points Purchased for Deployments in Brazil, Asia-Pacific and Africa
March 6, 2012 – Ottawa, Canada – Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc (YFI; TSX.V) is pleased to announce it has received multiple orders for its EAP3000 access points, including a $1.1 million order from a distribution partner in Brazil. Edgewater Wireless has begun shipping units to various customers in South America, Asia Pacific and Africa.
“Shipping units against purchase orders into multiple geographies is a major milestone for Edgewater Wireless,” said Andrew Skafel, President of Edgewater Wireless. “Our agreement with our contract manufacturer, SMTC, has enabled us to fulfill volume production orders for the EAP3000 family of multichannel access points. We are also very excited that some of the units are targeted for a trial by a major carrier. Upon the successful completion of the trial, we would anticipate additional opportunities for new business.”
Edgewater Wireless is pleased that its partnership with SMTC has met its first goal of bringing the EAP3000 to volume production by February 2012, as planned. This enables Edgewater Wireless to fulfill volume production orders from its international distributors, including recently announced agreements with distributors in various regions of the world.
